Access act like Powerpoint

T

Thanks, Chad

Hello, I was woundering if I could get access to act like powerpoint? What im
trying to do is run reports "full screen" and have the reports change like
powerpoint does. Is this possible? If so how? Thanks!

I'm not sure I'm following...

Are you saying that you want Access to cycle through a series of reports,
displaying each one on the screen for some set amount of time?

If so, the short answer is 'yes'.

The longer answer is "how comfortable are you with developing and testing
code/procedures?" I'm not aware of any built in function in Access that
does that, but since you can program Access, you could develop a routine to
do that.

Have you looked at this from the PowerPoint side? Is there a way from
PowerPoint to "call" the various reports out of Access?

Good luck!

Thanks, Chad

Well Jeff do you know of a procedure I can use to see if this works? I cant
do anything with powerpoint here at work due to the security settings being
on high and wont go to medium. I have asked my Admin but they dont know why
or they dont care! I would really love to get that working but it ant going
to happen so im going to have to use access to make it look like powerpoint.
I can cahnge the security in excel and access so im good there.

Thanks,
Chad

No, that was my point. I don't know of any "pre-canned" routines that do
that. You might get lucky and find one via an on-line search.

I was suggesting that YOU will have to build one ("developement and
testing").

Good luck!

people who want to learn and ask for help! Jeff, I as in ME will google and
see if I cant find something. Thanks for the sugestions though...

Over the past few years, steve has been the only one to actively ignore the
FREE support nature of these newsgroups. He has also demonstrated on many
occassions his ineptitude at listening to customers and answering questions.

So if you ignore steve, these are very useful newsgroups inhabited by some
very helpful and qualified people.
