J JIMG Dec 10, 2003 #1 Question is will Access 97 (standalone product) run under Windows XP Professional?
A Albert D. Kallal Dec 10, 2003 #2 I don't see any reason why it would not. While a97 is many versions old, it still runs very well on windows XP. I used it many times on windows XP. There is a very common install problem that warns about licensing, but there is a free download to fix this. In fact, you can even run 20 years old version of VisiCalc on a brand new PC! Microsoft has probably the track record when it comes to forward compatibility in the software industry.
