Access 97 Subform Format

I'm using Access 97 because it's my client's standard. I have a form with (at
Jon Vinson's suggestion) a tabbed subform. I've developed subforms for each
tab displaying the many side of one-to-many relationship. All good. Works
well enough to show me errors in the data and the normalization. Be that as
it may...

I can't seem to do things like changing the subform's column headings. I
closed the main form and brought up the subform in design view, but changes I
make there seem to have no effect on the form/subform situation. I even
deleted the subform and re-added it after making changes to it while it was
disconnected. No dice.

I want to change the headings on the columns. Maybe reformat the data in the
columns. How?

Hi JimS,

Sounds like you are viewing your subforms as datasheets... this is alright,
but gives you limited control over the appearance. Try using a "continuous
form" to display the subform data, putting all of the fields in a row
horizontally across the form, with no whitespace below them.

This will allow the data to display similar to a datasheet, but give you
control over the format of the fields etc... Remember when using "continuous
forms" you need to have the Vertical Scrollbar switched on.

Hope this helps...

Damian.
