Access 97 file exporting in text format error

Robert

I have been using Access 97 to create .txt files for years. It is now
giving me the error message of "There is no object in this control". I
have tried re-registering that particular
dll but that doesn't fix the problem. I can still export to an excel
file however.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this problem. I found a similar
user that had this
problem and could not find a solution. She even reinstalled Access with
no luck.

Hi Robert,

Does this happen with all databases, or just one? Does it happen when
importing text files as well as when exporting? Does it happen when
importing/exporting other kinds of file? If it's confined to one
database, search for problems in that (corruption?).

Otherwise - you can't import or export text to/from any database -
re-register ACCWIZ.DLL if you haven't already done so.

If that doesn't fix it, the next thing I'd try would be to rename both
ACCWIZ.DLL and these files:

wztool80.mde
wzlib80.mde
wzmain80.mde

(they should be in the Microsoft Office\Office folder) and then
re-instal Access. This corresponds to the fix for the same problem on
Access 2000 (see http://support.microsoft.com/?id=303769), but I can't
find any record of this particular issue with Access 97, so it would be
good to know how you get on.

John,

I reregistered the ACCWIZ dll as you suggested and that fixed the
problem.

Thanks a million!!!

Robert
