access 97 error

when trying to add someone new on the database i get the
error message < stop statement encountered > the error
message has changed as before it was Runtime error '13'.
Type mismatch.
System then closes down.

any help will be much appreciated
 
You need to give more details. What's the statement that you're trying to
execute when the error occurs?
