Access 2007 interface controls

I'm having a great deal of trouble trying to set the interface to
limit what users can do and see. I've come across one web site which
detailed code for creating/setting database properties, but even then
certain interface properties are over ridden by user's settings.

My 2 main issues are hiding the navigation window, and making the
print command available (from the ribbon or menu) while disabling (or
hiding) most other commands.

I'll continue to search forums and the web, but if anyone wants to
share their approach to the 07 interface, I would like to hear about
it.
THANKS!

I just use database options to hide the navigation menu and use a custom
ribbon for everything. Most of my apps use overlapping windows and stay
maximized (with other forms that popup over top).
On report preview currently I let it go to the standard "out of the box"
ribbon (but you could use a custom one for that as well). If using runtime
you might need the custom ribbon for print/preview?

Turn the database into an ACCDE to protect everything else.

My two pennies,
Mark

Mark:
Thanks for your comments.
I found out why the print ribbon was not being displayed. I was using
the constant "acDialog" instead of "acWindowNormal". I also set the
default view to "Print Preview".

I kept trying to manage the navigation window using the navigation
options dialog instead of the database options.
