Hello,
There is an autocalendar/datetime picker default in Access 2007 that
appears for date/time field when opening a local or linked datatable.
This is causing a problem. How can this 'feature' be turned off? My
particular problem is that a user opens a table linked to a SQLServer db
which has close to 1 million records. The table has date/time fields
defined; when the user clicks in the field in Access 2007, it locks up the
application. There is not such a problem in Access 2003. Is there a global
setting in Access 2007 to disable this 'feature'? Is there a way to
eliminate the application lock-up when moving to the date/time field in the
linked table?
I don't think changing the data type in the parent table is an appropriate
solution.
Thanks,
Jim M.
