Access 2003 will not update Excel link

After upgrading to Access 2003 my Excel linked tables do not work properly
(previous version worked fine).
Updates are only working one way - from Excel to Access.
Cannot change any data in Access tables, forms, etc.
(Changing data in Excel will update Access Tables.)
Tried creating new tables but results are the same.
Also tried repairing installation files but still the same.
Cannot find any useful help on support knowledge base (spent hours trying).
Any help will be appreciated.
 
Are you on SP2 for Office 2003? I believe a bug has been reported regarding
what you're seeing if yes.

You may need to reinstall and stop at SP1 upgrade.
