Help,
I just recently upgraded to Access 2003 from XP. I have a large collection
of access databases linked to paradox databases that I have been using for
some time. They are all set to access 2000 format, because that is what the
client using these DBs has (no chance of their upgrading). The Paradox DBs
are 3rd party software. I think they are 5.X, since that is what the ODBC
drivers said.
With 2003 when I open or try to link to any of the paradox tables I get a
message "unexpected error from external database driver (9499)". I get this
when I try to link or import in a new db or when I try to refresh or access
in any of the existing DBs.
I removed the external paradox driver in control panel, and still get the
same message. I reinstalled that same driver along with the others there now
with paradox in their names and I still get the same message. I am sure the
links are good and the files are there (tested with the 3rd party software).
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Steve
