Access 2003 - Get External Data issues

When I try to get external data from an ODBC Database using either the
"Import" or "Link Tables" options nothing happens. The "Select Data Source"
window never opens? Any ideas???
 
This is one of the most popular question: probably the Norton Anti-Virus
2006 or 2007 is interfering. Disable the Office Plug-In or the Office File
Protection (don't remember the exact name) before creating your ODBC linked
tables; after that, you can reenable it.

Other anti-viruses can show a similar behavior.
