Is an Access 2000 database compatible with Access 2003?

We have several Access 2000 databases and we want to
install Office 2003, will the databases be compatible?

Yes.

Great....Just want to be sure. The databases will not
have to be converted?

The default database format for Access2003 is... Access2000.

It's possible to upgrade and get a few new features, but if you have
both versions of the program installed, it's perfectly straightforward
to keep the databases in 2000 format.

No conversion necessary. As John Vinson points out, the default file format in
A2K3 is Access 2000 format.

:-)
