Access 2003 closes when opening Code editor

In the last couple of days, Access 2003 been closing without any warning or
message as I attempt to open the code editor on one particular machine.
The same MDB opens fine on any other machine. I have run the office repair,
performed a re-install of Office 2003 but the problem remains.
I can find no messages nor is there anything in any Eventlog.
Even with a new blank DB, if I press ALT+F11, Access closes.

VBA works fine in all the other Office applications.

I am running Win XP with SP2 (installed weeks ago) Office 2003 Prof. Sp1
I have also had a look on MSDN for any problems but cannot find any
reference to my symptoms - Short of rebuilding the machine, Has anyone any
other ideas what I can try next
Any ideas

Do you have any VBA add-ins?

We ran into this after installing some .NET stuff, and traced it to MZTools.

Sorry, Andy. Never seen that happen.

I'm guessing that there is a bad setting/dll/permission/disk issue, or some
such, but can't give you anything concrete.

You could try removing Office 2003 completely. Then actually delete any
remnants that remain (e.g. in Program Files\Microsoft Office). Then do a
custom install.

Don't know what else to suggest. If anyone else has an idea, please
contribute.

Access 2k3 is behaving again, I uninstalled .Net framework 1.1, then
reinstalled it and Access now mysteriously works.
The only question now is for how long.
Thanks for your input though

Great. Solved.

Thanks for posting your solution. It's interesting that it was the .Net
stuff that broke yours as well.
