Access 2003/2007 compatibility problem

I have a customer who has recently upgraded their server to Access
2007. On the server is a backend Access database saved in 2003 format.
When Access 2003 PCs running the frontend try to open the application
and connect to the backend it says it is an unrecognisable format.
Is there a solution that doesn't involve upgrading all the office PCs
to Access 2007.

Ken,

What do you mean upgraded their server to Access 2007? Has the back-end
been upgraded to Access 2007?

Access 2007 is in a different format then Access 2003 and they don't 'talk'
to each other. IF the Access backend has been upgraded to 2007 then the
front-end will need to be upgraded to Access 2007. Access 2003 only talks
to Access 2003 and back. Access 2007 only talks to itself.

The server is now running Access 2007. The backend database on the
server is saved in Access 2003 format however the Access 2003 PCs with
the frontend cannot open the backend.

I hope that clarifies the environment for you.
