Hi All,

I would like to know if the Access Run-time can be installed and used on
computers without being purchased.
From what I know, in the past, it was available to download from Internet
(not sure if Microsoft had it on their web sites).
In case it can't be installed without a licence, can it be purchased
separately, or is there a way of using Access databases (not in design mode)
without having to purchase Office? I am particularly looking for Acces 2000
runtime, in case it matters.

Regards,
Nicolae

The Runtime can be legally distributed royalty free to *users* of an application
provided by a *developer* who has purchased the developer's version of Access.
It is not a free download.

You need the Developer Tools for your version. You are then licensed
to distribute Access runtime with your application.

For Access 2000 you'll probably need to find a source other than
Microsoft to get the Developer Tools. Be sure to specify your version
when you are looking and ordering. The name changes with every
version.

You might try www.usedsoftware.com and ebay.
