How do I open an Access (2000) database in recently purchased Works 8.5? If
this is not possible can I download something that would allow me to convert
it so Works will recognise it? Help, as I do not wish to re-do all the
information.

One option would be to purchase a copy of Access. I'm not familiar with a
converter that would let Works run an Access application...

You don't, any more than you could usefully open a Word document in
Notepad. They are different and incompatible programs.

You'll need to have access to a copy of Access (2000 or later), and
export the data in the tables into a form which Works can read. I
believe that dBase format is compatible with both. The Access Forms,
Reports, queries and so on are not going to be usable or transferable
to Works.
