Accept/deny meeting requests send to external mailaddress

Hi,

When I send a meeting request to people with an external mailaddress
some can accept/deny the request others have this functionality not
available.

Is this something that you can configure in outlook or on the
mailserver. Can anyone help me how this should be done?

Are they all using the same version of Outlook or at least OL2003?

Thank you for the response.

Is this only supported from OL2003 on?

The exchange server is 2000 and I know at least one of them is using
OL2002. But he said that a collegue using OL2000 was able to accept
but I cannot verify that.
