How can you include users to a meeting, but not ask to accept/deny

We would like to invite a group of users to a meeting, and have them accept
or deny, but one user we would like to add them as an FYI, not requiring them
to accept or deny the meeting. We would prefer the not show the accept/deny
at all for this one user. Is this possible? (I've been trying all morning,
including the "request responses" on and off.) So far we have not seen any
way to add a user to the meeting, without showing the accept/deny. Maybe this
is not possible?

Add the user as a Resource or Optional Attendee?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, Mikeb asked:

It's not possible. All the tricks you can use will show the accept/decline
buttons.
