Acc97 Win2000 "msaccess has generated errors"

Sorry about multiple posting. I posted this to another group a week ago but
have not received a reply yet.
I have numerous databases. I am using Office (and Access) 97 and Windows
2000 Service Pack 4.
I have used them previously with the same operating system and without
problem but this time, after reformatting my hard drive and re-installing
Windows 2000 and then office:
whenever I open a form that contains Write or Read code
in the OnOpen or OnClose events
whenever I use a combo box with FindFirst code in it
I get the 'msaccess has generated errors' message.
What does not help:
There are no missing refererences. The references look just as they should.
Importing into a new database does not help.
(not surprising since it is highly unlikely that the many databases would
have spontaneously corrupted).
Applying the Service Packs did not help.
Uninstalling Reinstalling Access97 made no difference.
I am thinking of re-installing Office after removing all traces of it but I
would be very surprised if it makes any difference.

Tom, you total genius. You solved the problem!!!
Here's a step by step for the hardy remnant of Access 97 users.
I closed my office apps.
I downloaded Regsv32a.exe from the MS site and double clicked to install it.
I checked that Regsrv32.exe was now in C:\Winnt\System32\
I went to DAO350.dll and double clicked on it.
I chose the Open With button (made sure the Always Open With box was
unticked)
I Browsed to Regsrv32.exe
My Databases all work fine again.
I am a very happy person
Thank you very much.
