Acc 97 - Acc 2000 Subform difference

IN Acc97, in forms design mode, on the main form a
subform shows up as a white blank box with the subform
name. I can double click on the white blank box of the
subform and the subform comes up in full size.

In Acc2000, in forms design mode, on the main form a
subform shows up like a design form, limited in size to
the subform area. It is too small to work with easily.
Is there something I can do to explode that subform in
another Window so I can see the entire thing?

I'm converting an Acc97 program that I wrote to Acc2000
and just starting to learn/understand Acc2000.

Agreed, this is really unfortunate, but cannot be configured differently in
A2000 and later.

Best you can do is close the main form, and open the subform directly from
the Database window.

It sure sounds like a cool great idea to edit sub-forms in place.

But, just about everyone we know likes to edit the form in a nice bug full
screen view.

There is a add in that gives you right click ability to open/edit the
sub-form..
