Hi

I am research assistant on a university at Turkey. We bought a new
workstation that includes

Intel E7505 Chipset Mainboard
2 x Xeon 2.80 Ghz (64Bit)
2 x GB Memory

I installed WindowsXP Prof. Edition but i know WindowsXP has an 64Bit
edition.

Can WindowsXP 64Bit edition get me more performance?
Can I develop 64Bit Applications with Visual C++ 6.0 on WindowsXP
Prof.(32Bit)?

Thanks in advance.

You may not see much, if any, performance increase since you will still be
running 32 bit apps.

Visual Studio 6 is for 32 development only.

Are you sure they are 64-bit Xeon processors - the only 64-bit Intel
processors I'm aware of are Itanium?
