This NG has been great in helping me learn Windows, Outlook Express, etc. Thanks to all who
post needed information.

As I move through various webpages or sites, I keep getting Windows pop-ups (I assume they're
Windows, they may be Internet Explorer alone) which say:

"You are about to view pages over a secure connection."

or

"You are about to leave a secure internet connection."

Then, I'm offered the option of not seeing that pop-up again (I assume for that site alone).
Next time, it seems to still come up.

These little pop-ups are driving me nuts. I run the latest edition of Trend Micro which
neuters many pop-ups, but not these! Is there any way I can keep these pop-ups from coming up?

I'm running XP.

Thanks.

In I.E. ---Internet Options---Privacy tab--put check mark in 'Turn on pop up
blocker'.

Look in Internet options, on the advanced tab. Scroll down to Security and
see if the box is checked that says "warn if changing between secure and not
secure mode"

You may have to make two changes to your settings.

Tools-Internet Options-Advanced
Uncheck "Warn if changing between secure and not secure mode"

Tools-Internet Options-Security
Highlight Trusted Sites and click Custom Level
Go down to Miscellaneous
Set "Display mixed content" to Enable.
The default is Prompt.
