Installing programs under Windows is not just a matter of copying files or
folders from one folder to another. Most programs create control files in the
system folder, or create control entries in the system registry.

If you copy a program file from one partition to another, rather than running
the provided install procedures (which you generally find on the install media),
you do not create the required control files in either the system folder, or the
system registry. Your programs will not run, because the required entries do
not exist.

If I have misunderstood your problem, please take a few minutes to read the
following.
