About six of my folders have just disappeared?????

After right clicking on my deleted items folder to empty it yesterday, when I
next looked about six of my other folders had disappeared, they are important
to do with my business, I have looked everywhere, the recycle bin does not
seem to have anything in it.
Does anyone have any ideas how I might be able to retrieve them, or is it
possible they are gone forever?
Very frustrated!!!
 
Since your data is important to your business, then you sure do regular
backups. Restore from the latest backup.
