How long does it take when you make a post that the actual post gets posted.
Does it have to be approved or something. How do I find my "OWN" posts after
I have submitted them? Its been over 30 minutes and still nothing is posted.

Totally Unsure.

It depends on your news server.

Sometimes messages get lost, or appear on some news servers but not others.

If everything is working OK, it will appear immediately - you have to
refresh the group to see your post.

If you are having problems, speak to your news provider. Use alt.test for
test posts.

Also realize that, once you read your own post, you may not "see"
it again if you have your client set to Hide Read Messages.
If I have an "important" post, I'll usually Mark All Read,
leave the group, come right back, and my post will be all that
shows. Then I Flag the message so any responses to it will be
obvious in the future and easy to spot.
So, the messages appear rather quickly most of the time (not
always),but it may be several hours or a day or so before anyone
comes along that can answer your particular question. If no one
ever responds, it's probably because no one has an answer for
you; in that case try rephrasing the question and adding more
relevant detail and see if you get any answers.
In OE, which it appears you are using, you can also
temporarily set your View to Show Message To Me to look for
responses. If you're looking for an old one though, you have to
also use View: Show All.
