Hi. Ive just looked at the Access 2002 help files on
Compacting and Repairing and what it says doesnt work for
me. If I go through the Compact and Repair process for a
mdb thats not open and chose to save the compacted file
under a different name, all works OK - it compacts down
to about 15Mb. If I Compact an mdb that I have open and
that is not being used by any other user (its a backup
copy), the process seems to run but the mdb remains at
its previous size. Also the same happens if I set that
mdb to Compact and Repair on close. Am I doing something
wrong? Thanks, Noel
