ABOUT BLANK POPUPS

Any time i open a site page i have an attack. A small box appears in the
upper left of my screen
It is called About blank. It does not move , it does not expand.It works as
a front runner for annoying popups that start coming.
Poker, videos, searches, drugs, and all that kind of spam that used to come
in via emails.
Now they have updated their ways.

I had scanned my pc many times.Mcafee, spy sweepr,spyware doctor do not
recognise it as malware or something.

This is my second mail her to this group.I do not know what happened with my
first one.

Anyway,
I am using win sp sp 2, IE 6 and ASDL connection


Any help??

Yep, that's one of the nastiest. Sometimes requiring a complete wipe
and reinstall. You can try your luck at removing it, though.

Thanks a lot for your help, but my case is a bit different i suppose. The
address page does not change to about blank, nor my home page.
A new box appears apart from the site i am searching. It is always dropping
itself in the left upper side of the screen.It does not move , does not open
wide.It just stays there for a while.
In the meantime my pc looks freezing. Then the ad pages start coming.
They are almost the same pages.I have put them in the blocked area in my IE
privacy tool but they do not care.

They keep coming although they supposed to be blocked.

There is also a site -and a cookie called BEST-TARGETED-TRAFFIC.COM It
comes after i open my pc and my webroot sry sweeper blocks it, but is goes
into the TEMP file.

Anyway , if there is a way to ged rid of these unwanted

intruders , i will be very glad

In many cases, it really is quicker to nuke and pave. (Wipe and
reinstall).
