about:blank in Explorer

Why does my Windows XP Explorer always go back
to "ABOUT:BLANK" for my home page? I change the
properties to my reg. home page, but the next time I open
explorer it takes me back to about blank.

have a check for spyware first. use spybot search and
destroy or/and lavasoft's "adaware"
