about:blank default website and pop-ups

not to mention the about:blank default webpage that no
matter how much i change it always reverts back,　i'm also
getting very annoying "you might have spyware installed"
pop-ups usually going by the name "welcome to the system
performance wizard-microsoft internet explorer." under
this is some other garbage, for example,

os check: Windows XP detected clean
browser check: IE 6.0 detected clean
spyware check: Warning!!!Your PC may be infected with Spy
ware. Click OK below to scan your system
for absolutely FREE for potentially
harmful spyware on your PC.
If you can help me get rid of these two things, I'll buy
you a beer when and if we ever meet up. Thanks for you
help, and also, thank you Bruce for all your advice up to

I have the same problem.
I partially removed it using CWShredder.
Google Merijn.org to download it.
Please let me know if you find any other solutions.
