about AMD DURON

i have installed windows XP professional in my system
with specs, AMD duron 1.5 ghz and 128 mb ram. but once
Operating system the since boots up, th bios says that
the processor speed is 850 mhz and the ram is reduced to
96mb.could i know the reason why??

The lost ram is cause you have a on board video card that has no ram of it's
own, so it takes away from you 128megs. As far as the 850mhz, I would not
worry about it.
 
AMD never made a Duron 1.5 ghz. They only come in 800 mhz, 850 (which is
probably what you have) 900, 950, 1.0 ghz, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.6 and the
new one just out is 1.8 ghz.

Check your bios for FSB speed and your cpu multiplier for the cpu you have
installed. Is your FSB at 100 or 133 or what..?
