Abnormal Program Termination-C++ Runtime Library

IE6 will not open and the error message is:
"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Program C:\Program Files\InternetExplorer\IExplorer.exe
Runtime Error"

I have uninstalled & reinstalled IE to not avail - same error message.
Running on W98. Appreciate any help available! Thanks so much.

Have you copied all the email and contacts from OE yet? If not you want to
do it ASAP.Also how did you uninstall it?

Runtime Library Microsoft Visual C++, Runtime Error Program
C:\Windows\Explorer.exe or Iexplore.exe, abnormal program termination.

also make sure you don't have both the Sun JRE and the Microsoft VM JIT
compiler enabled.
