Abnormal booting of Windows

Help, I cannot boot-up normally.

My fastest as of now is to wait 3 second longer plus all those few
seconds spent before and after opening Windows completely.

I also want to take out or eliminate this page from showing:

Please select the Operating System to start:
[ ] Windows XP Pro.
Use the up and down arrow keys to move the highlight to your choice.
Press Enter to choose.

Seconds until highlight choice will be started automatically ( 3)

I was able to changed into 3 sec by this:
Start > Run > msconfig > OK > BOOT INI tab > change Timeout: to 3 (my
lowest I could go). Initially it was 30 sec.

Before this I must always press down arrow key and Enter key to choice
my O.S. Good & now no need BUT still not normal of opening Windows
with much attention.

TIA,
Rino

I do not fully comprehend your issue but you can always edit the boot.ini file in Notepad and remove the unwanted entry.

You can also use MSConfig to achieve this also.

It doesn't sound like it's booting abnormally. Change the time out to 0
seconds. Start | Run | Msconfig | Ok | boot tab. Or as others have
suggested edit the boot.ini to remove the other entry, whatever that might
be. If you need advice copy/paste the boot.ini into a reply.

Change the time out to 0 seconds.
NOT possible because 3 sec. is the lowest I could go. You try it.
It doesn't sound like it's booting abnormally.
It is! Because it took me 1 minute and 23 sec. to get out from my Welcome
screen --- without counting the loading of desktop Icons.

Three Windows screen should not took that long before or as I compared
with another PC:

1st. is that Windows screen I mentioned in my original post. That should
NOT appears.
2nd. the Black screen should not stayed on that long.
3rd. the Blue screen also -- why it took too long to extinguish?

I time it from switch on to Welcome screen extinguish it took me 1 min 23 sec.!

It also took me over 2 minutes in shutting down. Everybody know --- this is
NOT normal.

Can someone help me? PLEASE ;o)

You didn't indicate any of those problems in your original post. You wrote:

"My fastest as of now is to wait 3 second longer plus all those few

That sure doesn't describe a specific problem or even indicate there is one.
We are not mind readers. It should accept a 0 second timeout for the
loader. I don't know why yours is not. But from this reply 3 seconds isn't
the big problem.

So would you like to start from the beginning and explain the problems and
the history of this? Did it ever work ok? When did the problem start?
What changes occurred to the system between when things worked and now?
What is the malware status of the computer? How do you check that? With
more info maybe someone can offer some help.
