Hi, We use Access 2000 in a networked environment.4 users accessing the data
on a w2003 server, all users either are XP pro or win2000, the access version
is XP, but the data is still in access 2000. Here is the problem, the
database is suddenly allowing the users to create duplicate records and not
warning them, they tell me that they used to not be able to create
duplicates. I've searched the KB and found nothing, all users are
administrators of the DB. The only recent change on the network is the user
who found the problem got aa new PC, she went from win98 to XP and access
2000 to access XP.

Is there a Unique index on a field or fields in the table(s) being affected?
How are the records being entered?

Yes, there is a unique index, htis is a student records Db and they use the
student ID as the control. The records are being entered in a form they
created for that purpose. This Db has been used for about 4 years without
problem. Thanks
