A8N32-SLI Vista installation problem

Hi,

anyone has tried to install vista on such motherboard. I have 4 disks
attached to the nVidia Raid (2 in raid 0 where XP il loaded) . During the
Vista setup (launched from XP), I selected one of the SATA spare HD, and
also selected load drivers. I used the Raid beta drivers from nvidia, but
it seems that is not working. At reboot I get
"An error accurred while locating the drive onto which Windows is being
installed"

I tried installing Vista without loading any driver for the controller, but
at reboot I get BSOD
error 7B.

Any clue

Don't use the raid drivers. They will not work with the controller for the
drive you selected. SATA solo drives are supported by the board and you
should not have to load any drivers. If so, you would have them on the cd
that came with the board (in such a case there is usually a MakeDisk file
for making the floppy).

Do you have a driver floppy or a file on the mobo's cd that has the SATA
drivers?

That does suggest that the SATA solo controllers should just work. I know
the Asus website can be a pain sometimes but I think I would check the BIOS
updates there. I do not advocate updating a BIOS unless I know a needed fix
is available, but its worth checking.

jvi:
In the bios there is a choice for setting the drives as raid, turn off
the raid on the spare drives, the SATA drives should now be visible.
