A7V333 no keyboard problem

Hi, got an A7V333 which was sold to some inept N00b13s who I suspect hot
plugged something into the machine and did some damage.
At first the machine was just non functional til the CMOS was rest.
It worked OK for a while but now upon boot up, the LEDs flash wildly
on the keyboard and then I get an error stating that no keyboard is
detects.
After clearing the CMOS again, the mobo is usless. A USB keyboar won't
work and the machine just starts up into BIOS with the CPU speed error
but changes can't be made since there is no keyboard.

Is this mobo fried?
