A7V333 and SATA HD

Hi there....

I'm hoping someone knows what is wrong....
I've got the ASUS A7V333 Mobo and bought a ide to sata convertor so I can use a sata HD through the promise raid controller.

However when this is connected RAID throws an error saying that I should check my IRQ PCI settings and that teh PCI card allows master bussing.

But it's not a PCI card I'm using - the adaptor plugs direct into the IDE slot and then through the SATA cable to the HD.

What's going on?

Any help would be AMAZING as I'm pretty much stumped.

Go get a PCI SATA card for the SATA HD & I think you'll find the 'onboard' promise chip supports IDE RAID only.
