A7V133 onboard audio Clicks Pops & Hisses when playing audio CD

I have an A7V133 with onboard audio. When I play an audio CD it
clicks pops and hisses. I thought maybe it was the CD drive so I put
the same CD in the CD burner and got the same results.

I have update the VIA driver to hyperion v448 and also tried just
loading the latest via audio driver which is v3.5c

No change with the pops clicks and hisses. This is under windows XP
pro.

Thanks for any advice

First thing to try - open Media Player, go to TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> CD AUDIO
(tab) and turn off Digital Playback. See if that makes a difference.

Some people have had success with new mouse drivers.

Good luck,

Adam.

Actually, I say buy a Nforce 2 based MB, it has 5.1 sound, and it
sounds better than the Audigy. You also get a BIG + of getting a
400FSB with that :)

What is so funny with removing all the SDR dimms with DDR ones for the new mobo?
;)
