"A7N8X-VM" vs "A7N8X-VM/400"

I'm trying to figure out the difference between the "A7N8X-VM" and the
"A7N8X-VM/400" motherboards, but it seems that even ASUS isn't sure of the
difference! The only significant differenct is in the FSB and Memory
Specifications and they are confusing:

A7N8X-VM_______________________________

"This nForce2-based motherboard comes with dual-channel DDR400 memory for
great performance...

Front Side Bus 333 / 266 MHz
Memory -Dual Channel Memory Architecture
-Supports up to 2GB of PC3200/2700/PC2100/PC1600 DDR memory
-2 DIMM sockets
Note: Dual-channel PC3200 (DDR400) mode requires AGP graphics card."

A7N8X-VM/400__________________________

This nForce2-based motherboard comes with dual-channel DDR333 memory for
great performance...
Front Side Bus 400/333/266 MHz
Memory -Dual Channel Memory Architecture
-Supports up to 2GB of 2700/PC2100 DDR memory
-2 DIMM sockets

Does anyone know what's what with these two motherboards? It would seem that
they are significantly different as there are many drivers and BIOSes
available for the VM, but very little for the VM/400.

TIA

You got it in one, the new one supports FSB of 200MHz.

Seems a little strange that it doesn't support PC3200 as on the nForce2
generally, nVidia recommends running FSB and RAM in synch.

There is only one BIOS, dated 2004/02/27... so I presume the VM400 is pretty
new, this is the first I've heard of it. It's probably pretty closely
related to the latest VM BIOS and I'd presume updates to come out together.

Looks like the VM updates have been updating the boot block, would explain
the unusual flashing process... I suspect BIOSPAT is a wrapper for afudos
with the correct switches to make it "safer".
