A7n8x USB Problem

I have a A7n8x Deluxe 2.0 with a retail 2500+ CPU. I loaded Win XP Pro on
it. Everything seems fine.

BUT....

I have a USB Sandisk reader, that I initially plugged in and works fine.
However if I power down the system, and power it back up, the sandisk is
gone. If I remove the plug and re-insert it in a USB slot it finds it again
and works until the next time.

I did not see an updated USB driver on asus's site.

Anyone got any ideas?

My Rig:

AMD 2500+ Retail (non overclocked)

Win XP Pro SP1 and all latest updates installed.
Fresh load of XP as of 1 week ago BTW.
Interage FX 5200 8x AGP Video 128MB RAM
