I have a A7N8X-E with a single stick of 512 in it and Athlon XP 2600. Upon
boot up it reads single channel memory @ 166mhz. How much performance gain
if I get another stick and go dual channel? Can I use also 3 slots and
still go dual channel? Thanks!

Not much............
I have 512x2 running as dual channel(not dual channel memory) and I really
have not seen any difference.
