a7n8x-e : switching from IDE 2 SATA

Can i just use serielle2 adapters to do a straight switch ? Or are there any
other settings need. RAID not necessary.
 
not if you want your computer to boot....you need to a fresh install of
XP(if that's what you use) and need to load drivers for the controller via
F6 when prompted

You could, but you'd likely have to mess with Windows drive letters.

I would have to ask why... performance is likely to be in the 2% slower
range.
