A7N8X-E Deluxe Powering Off Problem

I have a A78NX-E Deluxe motherboard which powers off after approx 3 minutes.

System Information:

AMD Athlon 2800+ 333MHz FSB Barton
512MB Crucial DDR 400 MHZ PC3200 CL=3 Memory Module
500 Watt QTec Power Supply
I am using the the heatsink/fan that can with the Chip
An old NVidia Riva TNT2 Model 64 AGP Graphics Card
Windows XP Home Edition
2 Hard Disks
DVD-ROM
TDK Cyclone CD-RW
Chieftec DX-01 Dragon ATX Case

I have cleared the BIOS several times. I have recently have a new Chip
as I assumed that an old Chip had died. I assumed the chip had died
because the POST worked correctly with the chip out. Now the MB powers
off after 3minutes no matter what I am doing i.e letting XP boot up or
in the BIOS. The motherboard has not run correctly since the new chip.

I have remove all cards except the video card (I only had a Asus wifi
card extra). I have tried another AGP ELSA Nvidia card. I am sure that
the heatsink is position correctly. The hardware monitor in the BIOS
shows that the CPU temperature does not get above 40 degress before the
MB powers off.

I did update the BIOS before I started to get the problems with the old
chip died (or not as the case may be).

Any clues to what the problem may be?

Thanks for any help?

The problems seems to lie with the Q-tec power supply. Change the power
supply for an old 250W PSU and eveything runs OK. Another thing it is
so much quieter as well.
