A7N8X-E Deluxe, Asus 9600XT...no video

I have a strange video problem. Since build last week, if my computer has
been shut down for some time and I come to turn it on it starts all fans,
hdd's etc running but the screen remains blank with no signal to it and no
beeps. However the wierd thing is if I turn it back off and come back just a
few minutes later and turn it on again it will come on fine. Subsequent
reboots are fine also. It only seems to happen if it's been off for quite
some time (eg overnight). Any ideas? I've read about possible problems if
the motherboard standoffs short with something on the board but that does
not seem to be the case if it does work after a few minutes of recently
being shut down!? BTW I have the same problem with another power supply that
I used first.

My system is as follows

A7N8X-E Deluxe - Bios 1008
Athlon 2500+ (clocked 200FSB 11x 1.675V)
Antec Smart Power 350W
Asus 9600XT 128MB video card
2 x 512MB Corsair TwinX PC3200
2 x 160GB WD S-ATA - Raid 1
1 x 30GB Maxtor IDE
DVDRom
CD Burner

FINALLY I FIND SOME Information. I have the exact same setup

ASUS A7n8x-e Delux 1008
ASUS 9600xt 128
AMD 2500 (Barton) oc'ed to 3200
Corsair Platnim PC2700

I am having the exact same issue. I have even RMA'ed my mobo back to
newegg and still have the same issue. I have reset the BIOS back to
factory defaults and everything.

The only way I can get mine up and running again is by putting in my
Geforce 2 Ultra 64MD AGP 4X - then it runs fine. I pwr off the system
swap cards and my 9600xt runs great, and will continue to run great as
long as it is not powered off for long periods of time.

On a sdie note I have uninstalled smart doc and the black screen in
the middle of running have since gone away. The only issue I have now
is if the system is pwrd for for longer than like an hour then it will
not come back up. I will power up, but I get a "going to sleep" on my
monitor and then the screen is black.

I just got this new system and it would seem that there is a
compaitibilty issue between the mobo and vid card.
