A7N8X Deluxe Video settings? HELP

T

Tocapet

Here's one I haven't seen on here. Apologies if it has & I missed it.
but........

A7N9X Deluxe rev 2.0 running Barton 2800 & 512M
of Samsung PC3200s in dual channel.

What would be the correct bios settings if I'm running a
GF FX5200 (Nvidia chipset) with 128M DDR?

APIC MODE?
AGP SPREAD SPECTRUM?
GRAPHICS APERTURE SIZE?
AGP FREQUENCY?
VIDEO RAM CACHABLE?
AGP FAST-WRITE CAPABILITY?

Any help would be appreciated. This thing works fine, but keeps giving me
error messages.

APIC MODE?
yes

AGP SPREAD SPECTRUM?

no for stability, yes for reduced EMI
GRAPHICS APERTURE SIZE?

128MB f.ex
AGP FREQUENCY?

Auto or 66MHz

VIDEO RAM CACHABLE?
NO!

AGP FAST-WRITE CAPABILITY?

yes usually works. For more reliablility say no, with a microscopic
performance hit.

Someone here might be more helpful if you said what sort of error
messages, I assume you already ran MemTest86 and ram checks out OK?

I've used these setting with an AGP 4x Ti4200 and a AGP 8x ATI 9800 Pro
without any problems at all.

FSB Spread Spectrum [Disabled]
AGP Spread Spectrum [Disabled]
Graphics Aperture Size [128MB]
AGP Frequency [66MHz]
System BIOS Cacheable [Disabled]
Video RAM Cacheable [Disabled]
DDR Reference Voltage [2.6V]
AGP VDDQ Voltage [1.5]
AGP 8x Support [Enabled] (was disabled for 4X card)
AGP Fast Write Capability [Enabled]

I've had APIC Enabled too, IIRC you can't change that setting without
doing a re-install or a repair install of Windows or things go haywire.

I also run my ram in sync (100%, not SPD) of the FSB, supposed to be
better for performance and stability.
