I've been getting this "System Failed Memory Test" error/warning about
every 3rd or 4th time I boot my computer. But I don't seem to suffer
any ill effects. I've ran some memory diagnostics (memtest86.com) and
it doesn't report any errors with my RAM. (1GB (Twin1024 512x2)
PC3200 DDR Corsair XMS Extreme Edition LL)
The only problem I've really noticed is that my Orinoco PCI to PCMCIA
bridge adapter and my Orinoco PCMCIA wireless card don't work in this
machine regardless what I try. Putting it on another PCI slot, trying
different video cards, disabling all unused hardware (printer port,
firewire, serial, cd-rom drives, etc..) No matter what I try it
doesn't work. But the bridge adapter and orinoco pc-card work just
fine in my other computer.
So ... any thoughts? Is my motherboard defective?
