My computer can no longer connect to the internet using my DSL connection
after it got a virus. I need to establish an internet connection in order to
run the virus protection software on it, or do I? How can I clean the virus
off of my computer w/o an internet connection?

Download virus-removal programs using another computer, copy them to
your computer, and run them.

If you know the name of a specific virus on your computer, you might
be able to find a removal tool for that virus:

I'd also run all of these more general virus removal tools:

Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool

McAfee AVERT Stinger

After sending my first reply, I had another idea.

Does your computer already have virus protection software on it? If
so, you can run the software without an Internet connection. You
won't be able to update the software with the latest virus
definitions, but you can run the program. I recommend running it in
Safe mode for best results.
