A thorough memory diagnostic for Vista?

I am suspicious about some game freezes in my new computer... they come in
some games, but not others, and it is enough to make me worry.

Is there a recommended memory diagnostic for my 2GB of RAM? (defective RAM
sticks... not enough power... mobo errors?)

My computer = Vista 32bit + ASUS SLI mobo with Dual 8600 GTS + 2GB Corsair
PC-8500 + 600W power

badvista

there is a diagnostic tool you could burn on cd and boot the computer with
it... it would then do a total diagnostic...

unfortunatly it is a bit slow...we professional use it.

http://www.memtest86.com/

This has a price but the price is only if you order the cd..
if you go and download and burn it yourself its free

Windows Vista has a built-in memory diagnostic:
open the start menu -> type: memory (or the translated word in your
language) and hit Enter

I would use 'memtest' rather than using the memory diagnostic supplied with
Vista
