a small "a" character is constantly appearing in my clipboard.

I cannot copy and paste anything because I have a small "a" character that
constantly appears in my clipboard. If I clear the Office clipboard it
re-appears automatically. So whatever I copy using ctrl+c, i get "a" when I
press "ctrl+v". It's kind of funny, but it's getting old. How do I get rid
of this thing? Is it a virus?

Could be a virus. Could also be some kind of addin. Is this just Word, or does
it also happen in other applications? Which version of Word?
