A second post for help.

We lost our second DC a week ago. I installed a new DC. A few days later
the only Windows '98 PC that logs into the domain gets an error indicating
"the password is incorrect or they do not have permission to log into the
domain." Since the only thing that changed was the new DC, I turned it off.
They were able to immediately log into the domain.

The first DC is named Server1 and the new DC is called DC2.

Any ideas?

TIA

How about removing the machine from the domain then re-joining it?

You should probably post your query to a networking or to a server group.

I really appreciate your response, but it's a '98 PC and therefore not part
of the AD computers. It cannot be removed or added without the
dsclient9x.msi installed. And it is not (yet).

My point is that it was fine before the addition of the second DC. And, of
course, why the change now...

Thanks,
