A RAM question

Hi there

My brother wants to upgrade his RAM but I have taken i
out of his PC and I cannot tell what type of RAM is it. It say
EXTRAM on it. I know that it is 128mb but that is all

Basically i need to know how to identify RAM. Is it DDR SDRAM etc
what speed

I would appreciate any input on this subjec

You don't necessarily need to know what it is, you need to
know what the system supports.

It would be helpful to mention the specifcs of it, like the
CPU, motherboard make and model, and hopefully the chipset
it uses.

If pictures of various formats might help, you can find some
with Google. For example,

http://images.google.com/images?q=EDO+SIMM

though the pictures found may not correspond with the search
terms, you'll have to follow the links on Google to verify
that's what it is.
