Having just downloaded Office SP3 and various other Office updates I now get
a message box saying "A program is trying to access your address
book........Do you want to allow this?"..............the same thing happened
once before but it was quite a while ago and I was hoping the problem may
have been resolved. It usually happens when I have to move a Spam e-mail from
my inbox to the Spam folder or vice versa.............I did a search the last
time this happend and again today but can not find a solution, the only way I
could get rid of the problem last time was to do a system restore but of
course it means I am unable to download any updates.
Has anyone else come across the problem and can offer a solution, I wojuld
be very grateful........

Hello Vince, thanks for the reply. Yes I have Norton Anit Spam program
installed, do you think that is connected?

Yes, it may be. Disable it temporarily and see if the problem goes away or
see if there's an update that addresses the issue.

Do you have Adobe Acrobat (not Acrobat Reader) installed?

Hello Vince, I tried disabling and re-installing Norton but sadly it didn't
help, but thanks for the suggestion. Chris

Hello Brian, thanks for your input. Yes I do have Adobe Acrobat, I have a
program Adobe Reader but on checking the info box it says to access further
detals on "Adobe Acrobat 7.0" then gives a website address. Do you think this
could be the problem? Because the problem happens when I try to transfer a
'Spam' e-mail into the Spam folder I've never dared allow access but if I
click on a bonifide mail and say it's spam the same thing happens which makes
me wonder if I should allow the access. Any further help would be
appreciated. Chris

Only if you're using Arcobat and not Acrobat Reader/

Outlook doesn't have a SPAM folder. If you see a folder named "SPAM", it's
some add-in, not Outlook that is causing the problem. See if this tool
helps:

Sorry Brian I should have said that the Spam folder I was referring to was in
my Norton Internet Security package. Thanks for the Tool I'll try that. Chris
